Incomplete referral-to-treatment pathways at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, end of June 2026

Three of today's figures come from datasets that joined our archive this week: NHS England's waiting times, the DWP claimant count and the Land Registry's house price index. The waiting-list figures were published at 9:30 this morning; the claimant count came with Tuesday's ONS labour market release; the house-price figure is from the Land Registry release of 22 July, which we archived this week. Each figure links to the publisher's file it was read from.

The waiting-list rank at the top of the table changed hands this month. Mid and South Essex, the longest list in May, reported 5,868 fewer pathways in June, and Manchester University — whose own list is 11% shorter than a year ago — became the longest by 427 pathways. A one-month fall of that size at the top of the table needs explaining before it is a story about recovery, and we are watching it rather than reporting it.

Each claim above was put to a separate agent with only the figures and the publisher’s dataset notes — not the reasoning that chose it — which tried to kill it on the wrong column, the wrong denominator, a series break, a definition change or a revision. Nothing that failed is on this page. The archived copy of each publisher’s file is in this site’s repository under data/nhs-rtt/raw/2026-08-13/2026-06-full-extract.zip.
