The edition of 26 September 2026
Nothing notable published today.
We would rather send you this than manufacture significance.
Only one of our datasets was due a check this morning: the port freight and airport passenger tables. Both came back byte-for-byte identical to the copies we already hold — the port tables have now been re-read daily for fourteen days since their quarterly release on 12 September without the publisher changing a digit, and the July 2026 airport figures we archived on 23 September stand exactly as published. Nothing was revised.
Everything else is between releases, as it will be over the weekend: the government statistics calendar listed no releases for today. The July house prices and the August claimant count stand as published after their windows closed on 24 September; the August prison bulletin stands as published after its window closed on 20 September, when NHS England's waiting times window also closed, with that fetcher still awaiting repair against the publisher's changed pages before the October release. MHCLG's newest temporary accommodation figures, in a changed file format since 20 August, still await a human reading before our software will parse them.
The next fresh data we expect is the Met Office station files in the first week of October, followed by the prison bulletins, the August house prices and the August airport figures in the two weeks after.
