The edition of 24 September 2026
Nothing notable published today.
We would rather send you this than manufacture significance.
Everything we fetched this morning — the airport passenger tables, the port freight tables, house prices and the claimant count — came back byte-for-byte identical to the copies we already hold, and nothing was revised. The July 2026 airport figures we archived yesterday, the July house prices we reported on 16 September and the August claimant count all stand exactly as published.
Today was also the last day of this month's house price collection window, so the July figures have now been re-read daily for eight days without the publisher changing a digit. The next release we expect from that dataset is the August month, from 11 October.
The prison bulletins and NHS England's waiting times were not checked today: both their monthly collection windows closed on 20 September. The August prison bulletin, collected on 8 September, stands as published. NHS England's waiting times went unchecked through their window because the publisher changed its statistics pages and our collection software, finding none of the links it expected, stopped rather than guess; the July figures we reported on 10 September are unaffected, and the page change will be reviewed by a person before the October release.
MHCLG's newest temporary accommodation figures, in a changed file format since 20 August, still await a human reading before our software will parse them.
