The edition of 21 September 2026
Nothing notable published today.
We would rather send you this than manufacture significance.
None of the publishers we cover released new figures today, and the gov.uk statistics calendar listed nothing. Three of our datasets were still fetched this morning — the port and airport tables, house prices and the claimant count — and every file came back byte-for-byte identical to the copy we already hold. Nothing new was published, and nothing was revised: the July house price figures we reported on 16 September stand exactly as published.
The prison bulletins and NHS England's waiting times were not checked today: both their monthly collection windows closed yesterday. The August prison bulletin was collected on 8 September and stands as published. NHS England's waiting times went unchecked through most of their window because the publisher changed its statistics pages and our collection software, finding none of the links it expected, stopped rather than guess; the July figures we reported on 10 September are unaffected, the next monthly figures are due around the second Thursday of October, and the page change will be reviewed by a person before then.
MHCLG's newest temporary accommodation figures, in a changed file format since 20 August, still await a human reading before our software will parse them.
