The edition of 17 September 2026
Nothing notable published today.
We would rather send you this than manufacture significance.
Four of the datasets we cover were fetched this morning — the prison bulletins, the port and airport tables, house prices and the claimant count — and every file came back byte-for-byte identical to the copy we already hold. Nothing new published, and nothing was revised: in particular, yesterday's July house price figures stand exactly as reported.
The fifth, NHS England's waiting times, was not checked today: the publisher has changed its statistics pages and our collection software, finding none of the links it expected, stopped rather than guess — the third such stop in four days. The July figures we reported on 10 September are unaffected; the next monthly figures are due around the second Thursday of October, and the page change will be reviewed by a person before then.
Still to come within the fortnight: the CAA's July airport tables may yet land within the current monthly window, and MHCLG's newest temporary accommodation figures, in a changed file format since 20 August, still await a human reading before our software will parse them.
