The edition of 14 September 2026
Nothing notable published today.
We would rather send you this than manufacture significance.
Four of the datasets we cover were fetched this morning — the prison bulletins, the port and airport tables, house prices and the claimant count — and every file came back byte-for-byte identical to the copy we already hold. Nothing new published, and nothing was revised.
The fifth, NHS England's waiting times, was not checked today: the publisher has changed its statistics pages and our collection software, finding none of the links it expected, stopped rather than guess. The July figures we reported on 10 September are unaffected; the next monthly figures are due around the second Thursday of October, and the page change will be reviewed by a person before then.
A correction to yesterday's edition is published today in our corrections log: its closing note said NHS England's July waiting times were still awaited, when in fact they had been published on 10 September and were the subject of our own edition that day. No figure was affected.
Still to come within the fortnight: HM Land Registry's July house price figures have historically landed on the second or third Wednesday of the month, which points at this Wednesday or next; and the claimant count's September release falls on a Tuesday within its window. MHCLG's newest temporary accommodation figures, in a changed file format since 20 August, still await a human reading before our software will parse them.
