The edition of 6 September 2026
Nothing notable published today.
We would rather send you this than manufacture significance.
The Met Office station files were fetched again this morning, inside the early-September window, and came back byte-for-byte identical for a third day running: August 2026 stands exactly as published in Thursday's edition, still provisional, and the July figures remain unrevised. Nothing else we cover published today — Sunday's statistics calendar was empty.
Two standing notes. MHCLG's newest temporary accommodation figures, in a changed file format since 20 August, still await a human reading before our software will parse them. And the quiet ends this week: the prison bulletins' window opens on Tuesday the 8th, NHS waiting times are due around the 10th, and the July house price release from the 11th.
